Information Governance: Controlling Information as a Strategic Enterprise Resource
Published: January 1, 2008 Information governance is defined by Larry English as the act or process of leading, directing, controlling and assuring that information is managed effectively as an enterprise resource.
Information governance is the management role and responsibility applied to information as a resource of the enterprise. Information governance is simply the execution of management leadership (direction) and control (assurance that direction is followed properly) in order to manage information as an enterprise resource.
